Harmony Day is an important celebration across all of our four centres.
Some of the children dressed in traditional cultural dress from their heritage and others brought in an item to share and teach others about their culture.
We incorporated a lot of orange activities into our learning to reflect the colour of Harmony Day. We explored the importance of harmony and cultural diversity while learning about the different flags of our own various cultural backgrounds. We event learnt some greetings and words in different languages. Another highlight included the special visits from our wonderful parents who came in to help us cook. At our Seymour Pde centre – we even learnt how to make pizzas!
The children enjoyed travelling around the world, visiting different countries, looking at how people live and tasting the many yummy meals.
