Kristina is the 2IC at our award-winning Margaret Street, Belfield centre. Joining us in 2021, she has brought with her 18 years of experience in early childhood education, a can-do attitude and a passion for achieving great results with both the children and her fellow educators.

I got into childcare to make a difference in little people’s lives - whether through education, whether supporting them through their disabilities, or just simply through any of their daily challenges.
I have been lucky to be involved with complex-needs children and families, through my experience over the last 18 years in childcare. Making a difference for these families is just such an amazing feeling. For me the most important thing is watching how the children in our care progress and grow, the goals they achieve through the work we as educators do with them. The achievement is so motivating and to know that you have contributed to that child’s progress is such a great feeling.
The way we educate children is also important to me because I feel it’s important that it’s not just boring and “let’s learn shapes and colours and blah blah boringggggggg!”
I like that we educate them in a fun way that makes the children genuinely want to engage and to learn and express interest.
Lastly care, love and nurture towards the children; building a bond and connection with children.
I bring experience to the 2IC role, so I have an understanding of the level of leadership required in this role in working alongside our Director, Belinda.
I also have had the experience of working with children with high complex needs. I spent a few years working in an indigenous centre, and I can incorporate a lot of indigenous learning into the centre’s programs.
Spending quality time with each individual child and building relationships with each of them.
I speak several languages - Macedonian, Serbian, and Croatian!
Fun, laughter, and more fun 😊
I hope to further develop my leadership skills through having more responsibility in the centre.
