Choosing an early learning centre for your little one is a big decision, and most families want a sense of what an ordinary day looks like before they book a tour. Here’s a closer look at Care for Kindies Margaret Street in Belfield.
The centre
Margaret Street is open 7am to 6pm, Monday to Friday. The centre is spread across two separate buildings, which keeps the rooms homely and gives the whole place a close-knit feel. Many of our educators have been with us for years, so children see the same familiar faces from their first day in the baby room right through to preschool.
Rooms and age groups
Babies from 6 weeks to 2 years start in our baby room. From there, children move into Koalas (2 to 3 years) and then Kangaroos (3 to 4 years). Children aged 4 to 6 are in our dedicated preschool, where the focus is on getting them ready for school.
Learning and play
Our curriculum follows each child’s interests, so learning grows out of whatever they’re already curious about. Children spend plenty of time in our large outdoor areas, and meals are cooked fresh every day by our onsite chef. You’ll get daily updates on your child’s day through Storypark.
What parents say about Margaret Street
“We knew from the very first tour that Margaret Street was the right place for our daughter. The cottages have such a welcoming feel, and the preschool building gave us so much confidence that she’d be ready for school. The educators really know the children. They treat them like family.”
Emily, parent of a 4-year-old
“What I love most about Margaret Street is the balance between structure and play. My son has thrived in the Kangaroos room, and now as he prepares to move into the preschool building, I can see how much he’s grown in confidence and independence. The educators are warm, experienced, and truly invested in the kids.”
Daniel, parent of a 3-year-old
